If you’ve a penchant for liking superhero-themed anything and playing games in 3D, the Batman: Arkham series has been a match made in heaven. Simply put, when it comes to 3D Vision titles it just doesn’t get much better – and it’s hard to see how it could. We’re happy to report that Batman: Arkham Origins, which releases today, continues this tradition.
Out of the box, Origins is rated 3D Vision Ready, so you know it’s going to look spectacular. We’ve played it quite a bit to do things like bring you this gallery of gameplay screens, and for “official testing” and all that other “hard work”. The game features the same tight controls, a larger and more open game world to explore, and a wonderfully dark-laced storyline to experience as you once again fight to rid Arkham of evil.
Arkham Origins introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight.
Plus, providing your PC has the horsepower to handle them, the game features a Bat cave-load of NVIDIA graphics technologies aimed at giving your eyes an even more sumptuous feast that previous titles. Head on over to Geforce.com for a complete rundown, and tips for getting the game to run as smoothly – and beautifully – as possible on your machine.
