You can now view nearly 300 new 3D images on 3DVisionlive.com that were created by National Stereoscopic Association (NSA) members. The shots represent all the entries in the second annual 3D Digital Image Showcase contest at the recent 2012 National Stereoscopic Association convention.
Sponsored by NVIDIA, the contest helps the NSA members gain exposure for their work—as well as earn a chance to score some fun prizes. The full gallery of 280 images can be viewed here.
NSA members were invited to submit up to 6 images for the contest and four prizes (consisting of various cash and hardware items) were awarded as follows:
Grand Prize: Franklin Flocks – “Burning of the Trojan Horse”
First Prize: Bob Venezia – “Her Inner Voice”
Second Prize: Doug Betzold – “Infinite Underbelly”
Third Prize: Oleg Vorobyoff – “Paintbrush from Shrine Pass”
As with last year, a wide range of excellent images were submitted for consideration and NSA’s panel of expert judges had their work cut out for them to select just four images. (Regular visitors to 3DVisionlive.com will likely recognize Doug Betzold’s image, and you can view a gallery of his work on the site here.) Congrats to the winners, and thanks to all that entered.
Enjoy the gallery – and if you don’t have a 3D Vision kit you can still view the images in 3D with anaglyph (red/blue) glasses.
