When it comes to video game intros often times you might be left feeling like you've seen them all before. This doesn't mean that the game is going to be bad, but unfortunately it sometimes can be a reflection of what type of gaming experience your about to embark on. If the intro in Crysis 2 is any indication of the quality of game it is, then your going to be pleased. This could very well be one of the most gripping and dare I say " Epic " cinematic experiences I have ever seen in an video game Intro. To give you an idea of the scope and production value that went into creating it, Hans Zimmer himself helped to create the opening title theme song along with some of the sound tracks for the game. If your not familiar with his work then you might be with the movies he's worked on. You can take a look at his incredible work history Here .Crytek has gone above and beyond when they sought out to create Crysis 2 and it shows in every way.
When originally announced Crysis 2 was said to be 3D rdy. Those in the 3D community might think they would be getting a rich 3D cinematic intro, unfortunately this is were Crysis 2 has its let down. All though it is by far one of the most incredible 2D experiences I have seen in any video game opener, it falls short on its 3D effect. Being 3D rdy you would expect to see greater "Depth" and more "Pop out " effects in the main intro , but your left with a very low separation with minimal to sometimes no depth at all. Now this is speaking entirely about the main Intro itself and has nothing to do with the in-game 3D experience you might get. Eventually,I will be working on another 3D video that will show you what type of 3D effect you will get when you do play the game in 3D.
