Fall Photo Contest Open!

Fall Photo Contest Open!

3DVisionLive.com is excited to unveil the latest in a series of photo contests aimed at giving you a platform to show off your images and potentially win some cool prizes. Like our most recent Spring Contest, this one will span three months - October, November, and December - and is themed: Your image must be something that captures or shows the essence of "nature" and what that means to you, which can be anything from budding flowers to an insect macro - it's up to you! We're looking for landscapes, flora, fauna. So get out there, take some great pics and share them with our community, which will then be invited to vote to select the winning entry.

NOTE: Images need to be actual stereoscopic photographs created natively by stereo cameras or though software such as Stereophotomaker, which can create a stereo image from two separate image files taken with any digital camera. Computer-generated images and 2D-to-3D conversions are not eligible for this contest.

The Fall Photo Contest is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Russia, Australia, and the United States and Canada. So start snapping and get ready to enter your best images for the chance to win our best prize yet. This time, instead of a FujiFilm W3 we're offering up a 24-inch 3D Vision II display - Asus's VG248QE - along with a pair of 3D Vision 2 glasses, and the chance to have your images featured prominently on the photo page as a Gallery Spotlight.

To enter: Register for a FREE Photo Account, if you haven’t already, which you can do in just a few simple steps, and then log-in. Next, just click on the Upload drop-down menu to the left of your profile picture (on the upper right-hand of the page), and select the appropriate file type (MPO, JPS, Anaglyph preferred). Please fill in all the fields, remembering to give your image a title, tell us a little about how it was taken, and most importantly, tag each image with “Fall Photo Contest 2013” (no quotes).

Re: Excluded Countries

For legal reasons pertaining to where you live, rather than where the contest originates. See this a lot with anything that gives away prizes unfortunately, not much NVIDIA can do about it.

Thank You

Thank You For Creating This Great Contest!

Excluded Countries

Hi,
I am just curious why are so many EU countries excluded from this competition?

All best, peterg

Agreed

Yes, the intent for this particular contest is for stereoscopic images created using cameras, not CGI stills or 2D to 3D conversions from a single image, which is clarified in the text now. We may have separate contests for conversions and CGI images in the future. Thanks.

Definition of photos in terms

Hello,

In order to clarify the contest, photos term should be defined more precisely. Photos are achieved by stereoscopic shooting using cameras, cgi is not considered to be camera acquired photo.
Or there should be more categories, like cgi, 2d to 3d transformation.

Reason is the difference of efforts and cost in order t o achieve real photos of wild animals in 3d stereoscopic in real situations in comparison to Cgi.

Best Regards
Ludvik
